Welcome To The Ibaha Tribal Council
Welcome To The Ibaha Tribal Council
The Ibaha Tribal Council is an independent body governed by the traditions and wisdom of our ancestors. Our constitution serves as the foundation of our governance, reflecting our commitment to self-determination, cultural preservation, and the well-being of our people.
We are not federally or state recognized, nor do we seek to be. We do not exist as wards of the government, nor do we rely on external validation to define our sovereignty. Instead, we uphold our own laws, traditions, and leadership, guided by the principles that have governed our people for generations.
This constitution is a unifying principle for us, strengthening our families and ensuring the continuation of our ways. While similar rights are acknowledged in international frameworks, our governance is for us—built by our people, for our people.
The Ibaha Tribal Council operates under a self-governing structure rooted in ancestral law. Each town within our jurisdiction has the right to self-rule, establishing bylaws that align with our constitution while reflecting the needs of their families.
